Data Entry Clerk/Intake Specialist - Job Description
These positions are for full-time, non-exempt, receptionist/data entry clerk/intake specialist who will support the activities of a mid-sized, not-for-profit, behavioral health organization. The successful candidates will have quick typing skills, an analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail and a passion for precision. They will report to the Office Manager/Finance Director.
The starting rate of pay is $16.32 per hour. The position offers full insurance benefits plus vacation and sick leave, and retirement matching, when eligible.

Basic Function: To assist with answering multi-line telephones, client scheduling and services and support the data integrity of the organization
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for entering & updating data into our client electronic health record system & other Excel databases
- Additional duties include reviewing and fact-checking information and evaluating and processing reports
- Provide required documentation of intake calls, referral tracking and preadmission paperwork and document all follow up efforts
- Conduct screening interviews over the phone
- Contact and schedule clients for their initial appointments at the agency
- Represent programs with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to financial and client matters
- Excellent organizational skills
- Other basic clerical duties as needed: answering phones; greeting clients in the main lobby; keeping a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Education: High school or equivalent
Language: Written and spoken fluency in English and Spanish
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Abilities: Ability to juggle complex multiple priorities and to work well independently. Must have proven abilities in the areas of written and oral communication and computer knowledge.
License: Must submit to and pass background checks including fingerprints and DMV. Must have a valid California driver’s license, vehicle for business use, and auto insurance as required by law.
