GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Data Warehouse & Reporting Administrator is primarily responsible for designing and managing the data warehouse, data packages, reporting tools, enterprise content management, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The Data Warehouse & Reporting Administrator will research and evaluate data to ensure integrity and make recommendations about ways to improve data storage. They will support the data management team with maintaining the data dictionary and data standards. Responsible for maintaining reporting systems such as Power BI, Cognos, and Tableau, as well as any other reporting tools and support user training. Responsible for the integrity of data extraction and ensuring company information is secure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Data Warehouse:
- Primarily responsible for the build and design of the data warehouse with extraction support from the team.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the Data Dictionary in partnership with the Data Management and Integrity work.
- Help support the website and community training for adhering to best practices in data standards.
Reporting Administrator:
- Assist functional users in developing, writing, modifying, scheduling and publishing reports following industry best practices as well as guidelines from Data Management and Integrity Group.
- Maintains licensing, users, roles, and data packages and security determined by the institution.
- Uptake and train on new functionality as they become available.
Enterprise Content Management:
- Responsible for the maintenance of the Pitzer OnBase instance in coloration with The Claremont College Services.
- Responsible for custom queries to retrieve documents as appropriate and requested by Data Stewards.
- Ensures the compliance of storage documents in alignment with any federal, state, or local organizational guidelines.
Team Planning:
- Participate in sprint planning and sprint review sessions
- Collaboratively manage source control with the team including branching and merging procedures
- Participate punctually, effectively and professionally in meetings.
- Collaborate with other teams to solve cross-functional challenges.
- Provide training, testing, debugging, and documentation as required in partnership with team to uptake new functionality.
- Learn new systems and adapt to changing technologies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in data science or a related field and a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Microsoft Data Analyst & Microsoft App Maker certification required withing the first 9 months of employment. Preference will be given to individuals with higher education experience and previous IBM Cognos and Power BI experience.

- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple concurrent projects, bring them to completion by the established deadlines, meeting expectations, and accommodate frequent interruptions.

- Punctuality and dependability are critical requirements for this position.
- Ability to be proactive and work independently, and collaboratively as part of a team and with diverse populations.
- Must have access to reliable and secure computer and internet connection. Must maintain password protection for work files and records and ensure that no one else has access to password and login credentials at remote work site.
- Must have access to a dedicated and suitable workstation at remote location, including desk or table and supporting, upright chair. Must ensure workstation is safe and free from hazards.
Licenses/Certifications: Must have valid driver’s license and a driving record insurable under the College’s General Liability policy. Must be able to drive self to/from nearby off campus locations.
Supervisory Responsibility: None.
Time Type: Full-time 40 hours per week
Annual Pay Schedule: 12
Work Schedule: The regular hours for this position will be scheduled between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. These hours may vary due to needs of the College or department.

Compensation: Budgeted Salary $80,000 per year

- Sit for prolonged periods of time;

- Have the mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment;
- Assist with the set-up and teardown of event tables, signage and other materials.
- Requires reaching overhead, grasping, pulling, pushing, stooping, bending, and twisting;
- Lift 15 pounds from the ground to waist level unassisted; and
- Have the stamina to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced work environment.
