Software Engineering Manager
London

Requirements
About You
This role would be perfect for someone who is looking to take a step up in their career to an Engineering Manager, so you'll need to have strong communications skills to help oversee client projects and mentor junior developers.
As you'll be managing clients, the ability to translate user requirements into services, solving challenges and managing stakeholders will also be imperative to this role.
We like to use whatever technology is best suited to solve our client's challenges but some of our preferred techs are Javascript/ Typescript/ Node/ React/ Angular where you'd need to have the most experience.
What's essential for the role:
- Previous experience mentoring/managing a team
- Experience in Javascript/Typescript
- Modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue
- Experience with Node.js
- You are able to work in the UK without visa sponsorship and can commute to our office in London
Additionally, these are some of the nice to have skills/ experiences:
- Systems architecture design experience
- Python, Ruby, Go or Java experience is beneficial
- Client facing, agency or consultancy experience
- Experience in a cloud platform such as AWS, GCP or Azure
- RESTful APIs and GraphQL implementation experience
- Have experience with Agile methodology and be able to help implement this on the client site
- Genuine interest and curiosity for all things digital across mobile, social and web
- Be hands-on, eager to learn and able to get stuck in – from coding to creative design, analysis, research or documentation
- Ensure the security, efficiency, scalability of backend systems and services
- Work well in cross-functional teams with Business Analysts, Engineers, Testers & Designers
