ANS is currently looking for a Data Architect to support our team of analysts and BI developers in serving high quality insight to the business. In the aim to accelerate and help push ANS’ broader objectives to improve the quality and architecture of its data.
Our Data Platform Team is responsible for working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business.
The objective is with working with our commercial and technical leadership. Aligning a common data model, clarifying definitions and taxonomy terminology, as we expand the ANS group portfolio.
In the aim to provide data-driven answers, using tools like PowerBI to provide a UX friendly ways of displaying reports to our entire userbase.
Your Role:
    Own & maintain the business’s current data strategy
    Guide the roadmap planning process to support the business growth
    Act as the single point collaboration for our Data & BI within ANS, running the team’s Agile ceremonies and being the coordinating single point of contact for receiving and coordinating MI / analytics requests
    Provide vision acting as a subject matter expert, executing value add wins in the short term while delivering the end goal journey
    Maintain and deliver the portfolio of MI which drives ANS’s decision-making and steering processes; continuously improve dashboards in Salesforce and PowerBI, with a strong bias for automation, simplification and streamlining
    Engage in and manage strategic initiatives regarding ANS’s data estate and drive a culture of continuous improvement across ANS’s data and reporting architecture, including data definitions, and aligning group wide taxonomy, the data warehouse, Salesforce data model and automated MI
    Engage with your peers across data, technology/R&D and finance teams to both learn and assist others
    Support or Commercial Finance needs and impact other business functions in delivering the data needed for operational reviews and strategic decision making
What we need from You:
    Previous experience working in data in analytics-focused roles.
    Data catalogue, modelling, warehousing, and analytics experience
    Proven understanding of security and governance on data management
    The ability to partner with analysis and project managers across the business to develop requirements and collaborate to deliver impactful reporting and insight
    The ability to break down complex business decisions and questions into components and structure analyses to address them
    A good understanding of working in an agile environment and how software development cycles work
    An ownership mindset for ANS’s broader data goals including data quality aligning our data needs to a common data model
    Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to engage with internal business and technical teams
    Technical ability in analytical and visualisation tooling such as PowerBI, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Salesforce, Dynamics, SQL and yes even Excel
    Experience working in the IT infrastructure industry (or a good understanding of the domain) is a strong advantage
    Architecture and cloud-related qualifications e.g. TOGAF
