Are you passionate about working with data? – we want to hear from you!
University College of Estate Management (UCEM) is a long-standing and leading provider of supported online education. We exist to provide accessible, relevant and cost-effective education which enhances careers, increases professionalism and leads to a better Built Environment; we are also very passionate about sustainability. Operating from the UK and Hong Kong we have a global reach, and at any one time over 3,500 students are studying online with us. UCEM passed its first ever inspection by Ofsted with flying colours after earning an overall rating of ‘Good’ in November 2021.
This is a new and exciting opportunity for someone who has a genuine interest and passion for data! You will join UCEM as part of a friendly and supportive team of data professionals as we work to improve our data analysis function and the work involved in external data reporting to HE regulators and funders. We are looking for someone with strong IT skills, excellent communication and an ability to interpret and analyse data, creating relevant insights. This is a great role for someone starting their data management career, a recent graduate or someone looking to take the next step.
Your key responsibilities will centre around:
- Understand internal and external customers’ requirements and establish if and how they can be met.
- Undertake data extraction, analysis and interpretation.
- Support colleagues in the interpretation of data and analysis in order to understand and enhance UCEM performance.
- Develop and deliver self-service tools for routine/standard analyses.
- Undertake any additional tasks necessary to deliver the main data returns to OfS, HESA, ESFA and others as necessary.
- Work with other team members to ensure that appropriate quality assurance is undertaken on all outputs.
To deliver these responsibilities we need your strong data interpretation and reporting skills. You must be able to analyse data and engage with users to understand and continuously improve the business.
At UCEM we expect employees to demonstrate our values: Passion, Integrity, Excellence and Support. Student satisfaction and success are our main drivers and our people consistently report high levels of employee engagement; your contribution will be valued should you join us.
