Ashbridge Independent School and Nursery is looking for an experienced, passionate and dynamic Early Years Teacher to join and lead an established Pre- School class, working alongside the Nursery Manager at our Ashbridge Nursery at Maxy Farm site in Cottam, Preston. We are inviting experienced and qualified applicants to join our high-quality and established company-wide Early Years Teacher team.
Our Early Years teachers work 38 hours over a 4 day week for an excellent work-life balance and support our Pre-School children throughout the year to enable a smooth transition to reception class.

WHAT DOES AN EARLY YEARS TEACHER DO?
- Plan and teach according to the educational need of the pupils in the class
- Work in partnership with other Early Years Teachers & Nursery Managers in order to maintain a consistency in planning practice and record keeping
- Work as part of a team offering support and guidance to other staff members in the delivery of the curriculum
- Foster and maintain strong links with parents and carers and to be available for consultation at mutually acceptable times
- Provide or contribute to oral and written assessments, report and references relating to individual children and your class
- Promote the general progress and well-being of children within the pre school class
- Maintain and develop teaching resources & continuous provision
- Be aware of current policy, practice and thinking on quality Childcare provision, the EYFS & Early Years education, actively seeking and promoting information to other staff/team members
- Participate in meetings which relate to the Early Years, or nursery setting team.
- Deliver and attend staff training sessions, where appropriate
- Be flexible and co-operative in order to ensure the smooth daily running of the Early Years setting and the company
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- An experienced Early Years Teacher with a minimum of 2 years experience
- A teaching qualification with Early Years Teacher status or QTS.
- A strong working knowledge of the revised EYFS
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to use initiative to inspire children
- A passionate, nurturing and creative approach
- A love of the outdoors!
- Proven experience of working in a Pre-School setting is desirable

This role meets the requirements in respect of exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
