About the role


Data is everywhere. In a world where data is generated at an ever-increasing rate, clarity and insight seems to be in ever shorter supply and understanding is ever more elusive. Our Data Analytics team focus on helping their clients uncover actionable insight from their data. The team provide the technical expertise and capacity to clients that may not have the time nor resources to do inhouse to get the most out of their data. The team is also at the forefront of many internal projects that are supporting the automation of our business as well as the development of tools to be used to drive efficiency into our own business processes.

Our services include:

  • Improving decision making: Providing insights into businesses by identifying trends, patterns and high-risk issues that help inform decision-making.
  • Identifying efficiencies and process improvements: Developing data visualisations to enable improvements and support the reduction in the costs of business process.
  • Automation of assurance activities: Automation of audit procedures using population-testing and custom-built dashboards to ensure real-time, accurate reporting.
  • Training to utilise data to improve profits, efficiency, and strategy.
  • Working with our internal audit teams to enable greater efficiencies and more robust testing approaches.
  • Providing training programmes to non-data scientists to enable them to work more effectively with data and to get more value from their business data.


When you join our Technology Risk team you’ll get the opportunity to work on:

  • Dashboards & BI – Creating interactive MI and BI Dashboards for easy monitoring and automated reporting.
  • Targeted Data Analysis – Answering client questions using available data and identifying trends and patterns in a range of difference areas from staffing patterns, crime and environmental stats, financials analysis and more.
  • Automation – Automating processes that require a lot of manual manipulation of data to increase efficiency.
  • Training – Deliver training and upskilling of staff in analytics and various analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI and Python.
  • Analytics Testing – Using data analytics to test revenue, payroll, absences etc. in audit.

Qualification


We have created a first-class training and development programme and, by starting your career at Azets, in addition to the comprehensive on the job training, you will also be given all the support you need to complete a professional qualification, including college and/or study days, mentoring and a designated buddy.

We offer a range of different qualification pathways at Azets which are determined by the role you are applying for. The qualification that will be undertaken for this position will be a Masters in Data Science.

  • On track to achieve or have already achieved a minimum 2:1 in your undergraduate degree (or 2:2 if you can provide evidence of extenuating circumstances)
