The Calisen Group is in an exciting and strong position where we are seeing growth and development in all areas of the business. As a result of this growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Data Analyst working on a contract basis.
This role will consist of working within the project team to analyse a large portfolio of assets (working with data sets containing millions of records) identifying gaps in the data. Building a chronological history of an asset and create the mapping to import the assets and all associated data into Calvin’s existing systems.
This is a contract role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday on a hybrid basis working from home, with travel to our Manchester and/or Wigan offices at least 2 days per week. The rate is to be discussed with the successful candidate up to £500 per day based on experience & qualifications.
The Responsibilities
- Working with data extracts to understand the data and transform for importing into existing systems
- Analysing the differences between the existing data and other industry sources.
- Diagnosing, analysing and resolving data issues/gaps/values.
- Develops complex reports using SQL, Microsoft Office Excel
- Identifying key differences in existing data process from the ‘to be’ data processes
- Performing ad hoc and structured data analysis
- Identify data issues proactively and flag them to project team
- Apply analytical and innovative problem-solving skills
What we are looking for
- Good standard of education
- Experience in Data Analysis
- Working with complex SQL queries
- Prioritising work and meeting deadlines
- An understanding of data security and confidentiality issues
- Knowledge of the Electricity and Gas Industry and Industry Data flows
- Extensive experience in Analysing data in SQL
- Advanced excel skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Accuracy and validation of work with a clear focus on attention to detail with a proven track record
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigating strategies
- Good organisational and administrational skills
