This role offers a competitive salary, hybrid working in the London office (5-8 days in the office per month), 28 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays and 11% pension after one year of service.
Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 per annum

We have a brand new opportunity for a Data Analyst / Statistician to join our high performing Content Department in London.

Key responsibilities include:
- You'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of projects and provide statistical and data analyst support and advice across the Content team.
- You will be responsible for the design, analysis and evaluation of research results and experiments.
- You will primarily be analysing consumer survey results which feed into our recommendation of services and products published through our website, app and magazines, but could also include product tests and user trials.
- You will have the opportunity to help our journalists analyse third party data sets to tell compelling data-led stories. We are keen to develop our capabilities in effective data visualisation, so there is opportunity within this role to develop those skills.
- You will be joining a team that is looking to kick-start their delivery of innovative and analytical data solutions to support the Content team by using tools (e.g., R, Python) for machine learning/ programming and automation (e.g., dynamic web-scraping, APIs); hence we are looking for an individual with a keen interest in this area who would like to develop or enhance their coding skills.
- You'll act as a champion of statistical services across the business providing consultancy services and occasionally providing staff with training of basic analytical and statistical software packages.

About you
- Experience of research-based statistical work
- A clear understanding of Market Research principles and processes to set and maintain to highest standards of quality
- Analytical intelligence including expertise in experimental statistics
- Expertise in the use of specialist analytical software (such as Python, R, SPSS etc) and common office software
- Understanding of how actionable insight can be delivered through intelligent analysis
- Critical thinking and to evolve and develop approaches that are fit for purpose
- Proven experience of working well in a team with a collaborative and constructive approach

Our interview process usually involves 2 stages:
- Sometimes a chat with a recruiter by phone (typically 30 minutes), followed by
- An interview on Google Meet (approximately 45-90 minutes) consisting of values and experience-based competency questions and a role related task on a laptop
- On some occasions there may be a second interview on Google Meet with values and experience-based competency questions (approximately 30-60 minutes)
