*About the Role*

The Senior Data Analyst strategizes, develops and delivers analytics solutions for Vovia’s wide client roster. You’ll work collaboratively with other Analysts, Media specialists, Digital specialists and Client Service team members to define and implement analytic strategies designed to track, measure, and deliver actionable insights. This position will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to inform a go-forward marketing strategy. In addition, this position will analyze, evaluate and monitor the performance of marketing initiatives by developing and refining techniques used to measure engagement, conversion, and trends for marketing. Working closely with the Digital Marketing and Data teams, the Senior Data Analyst will help create profitable marketing plans and evaluate the multichannel impact of marketing activities on engagement, sales, and ROI.

*What You’ll Be Doing*

- Extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources, including third-party APIs, databases, and marketing platforms via an ETL tool
- Designing and implementing marketing dashboards and reports in Looker Studio/DataStudio, Tableau, or other BI tools, using data visualization best practices to communicate complex data insights
- Using data from marketing platforms like Google Analytics, GA4, HubSpot, Google Ads, and Meta Ads to determine the revenue impact of marketing campaigns and activities
- Conducting ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions and support decision-making processes
- Applying data science methodologies and models to identify patterns and trends in customer behavior, segmentation, and lifetime value.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Digital Marketing, Account management, and client teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.

*What You’ll Need to Be Successful*

*Must Have’s*

- BComm, BSc, or BA Degree and/or appropriate combination of experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics (UA or GA4) with updated certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in SQL and Python, with a focus on marketing analytics
- Strong understanding of data architecture and data pipelines
- Experience using ETL tools and setting up extraction orders
- Experience with data mining and data preparation in Google Sheets, Excel, and querying in BigQuery SQL
- Proficiency in Looker Studio or other BI tools, with a solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
- Experience running predictive modeling and doing trend analysis in Python, Google Sheets, and Excel is required
- The ability to work with large datasets is a requirement
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

*Nice to Have’s*

- Experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, CRMs and social media platforms a plus
- Familiarity with Google Cloud and/or other cloud-based data warehousing solutions. Google Cloud certification would be a plus
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and experience with R, JavaScript, Java is considered an asset
- Experience building and running computer vision models is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail

*The Ideal Candidate will*

- Have experience working with marketing data sets
- Have a high degree of comfort with rapidly changing ambiguous contexts and an ability to help chart a clear path forward in these contexts.
