Job description
About Verpora
Verpora is a specialised consultancy working in the life sciences industry. We focus on a new and growing area for the sector called Innovative Contracting. In simple terms, the services that Verpora provides helps the manufacturers of medical drugs and devices agree contracts with their customers (National Health Systems and global health insurers) that mean if the supplied products don’t work, the purchaser doesn’t have to pay.
A major challenge in Innovative Contracting is defining what is effective. Unlike a consumer product, where it is relatively clear if a device works or doesn’t, medical technologies have a spectrum of effectiveness. Consequently, companies frequently struggle to demonstrate the true value of their innovations to health system stakeholders. By working as part of the data team at Verpora you will be instrumental in helping use healthcare data to support these conversations and shape the future of Innovative Contracting.
Successful Verpora projects to date have:
- Opened greater availability to medicines for patients in the USA through innovative contracting
- Helped transform national healthcare drug procurement in Latin America & Asia Pacific
- Forged the use of ground-breaking pricing for pharmaceuticals
- Monitored the uptake of new, life-changing medicines across the UK
