We are in the midst of revolutionizing our core capabilities to maximize service and mission outcomes. This will include an integrated platform for relationship and people management, learning, intranet and data warehouse. In order to achieve all this, we are now recruiting for a Data Analyst.

What You’ll Do

• Reporting to the Director, Data Management you will support Data Modeler work for Implementation of the Territorial Data Warehouse within The Salvation Army’s digital transformation program
• Work with the Business teams and business analysts on the extraction, analysis, and interpretation of relevant data points from different source systems to map them to Territorial Data Warehouse models (source to target data mapping)
• Support data migration efforts required for the implementation of the Territorial Data Warehouse, work with internal stakeholders and System Integrators in gathering business requirements for data migration needs and data mapping requirements?
• Undertake essential data integrity, complex queries, analytic and report generation tasks and conduct data consistency and quality checks
• Identify, solve and/or escalate issues/risks/decision and implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate risk/issues in order to minimize the impact on the project
• Support data governance initiative and collaborate with Data Stewards
• Collaborate with Territorial Headquarters, Divisional Headquarters, Ministry Units and frontlines to meet their reporting and analytical needs: gather reporting and data requirements, map data - source to target, analyze, profile, validate data, assess data quality, provide data quality benchmarking, support data extraction, conversion, and integration

What You Bring

• A university degree in computer science or approved equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of BI/Analytics platforms required. Certification in Tableau is preferred
• Certification in Snowflake is an asset
• 7-10 years of work experience in data analysis including:
  • 5-7 years of experience in data ingestion and extraction from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
  • 3-5 years of experience in data quality, data migration and data integration
  • 2-3 years of experience in data governance
  • Experience of working in complex, multi-systems / companies and in high priority and highly visible projects?
• Experience of working within delivery teams on projects of significant size, in an agile environmentExperience working in an Agile environment?
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Tableau/Power BI, Data Quality
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake
• Proficiency in writing data queries (SQL)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
