We are looking for a Data Analyst (Performance/Business Intelligence) who will take the lead in supporting the data analysis and business intelligence needs for the data transformation strategy – a key component of our Business Transformation Strategy.
This post will be an integral member of the Insight & Impact team and will lead on reporting, analysis and identification of improvements in data standards. It includes translating business requirements into dashboard visualisations.
You will be responsible for interrogating St John Ambulance data and delivering reporting to a high standard. You will be adding value to the organisation by providing expert analysis and insight, working alongside managers and operational staff to drive data decision making with data.

About You:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C) including Maths & English
- Advanced knowledge of data visualisation tools (preferably Power BI)
- Experience in an analytical role, providing reports and actionable recommendations based on analysis
- Experience in interrogating databases from multiple sources to extract data for reporting and insight
- Experience of using visualisation tools to tell stories with data
- Ability to work across a range of different teams with different priorities.
About The Role:
- Analysing a range of business data, building and maintaining dashboards for internal and external customers using Power BI
- Using advanced Excel and SQL skills to extract and manipulate large data sets
- Combining data and analysis into impactful, actionable reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Clearly communicate key findings to senior stakeholders and peers
- Expand existing data analytics skills, and explore opportunities to enhance business insight, including text mining
