What's the role?
Reporting to the Gas Data Flow Team Manager, the role of Data Analyst is to process, validate & analyse inbound & outbound data to Industry and resolve any supplier queries. In this position, you will process and cross validate mass data in line with industry standards using learned knowledge of the industry through exception management, processing and distributing RGMA file flows in line with business processes, requirements, and industry standards.
You will ensure that all install, removal and exchange jobs completed on FSM are uploaded to METIS (or any other system that is used by the business that is required).
Hybrid Working Monday to Friday. 08:00am - 16:30pm OR 09:00am - 17:30pm. 1 hour lunch break.
This position is based in our Glasgow office.
Key responsibilities:
- Investigate and take ownership of internal & external enquiries from clients and end users whilst responding in a timely and professional manner via email.
- Audit Customer reports against records in Metis (and/or any other system as used by the business) to resolve discrepancies.
- Create & issue accurate data and reports internally and externally for use by management.
- Ensure all Data is 100% accurate for our clients and to take appropriate investigatory measures when a known discrepancy has occurred.
- Liaise with Customers to deliver a high level of customer service & experience for the end to end process.
- Take responsibility for your own learning in the industry and department by co-operating in all departmental tasks.
- Support fellow Team Members to ensure all daily tasks are carried out allowing us to give the best customer journey.
- Ensure that systems are fit for purpose by feeding back to management any known issues or discrepancies when noticed.
- Displaying a positive work ethic and aiding supporting improvement within the company and department.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- College &/or University HND / Degree - desirable.
- Previous knowledge of RGMA gas data flows desirable.
- Knowledge of gas metering assets desirable.
- Experience of dealing with automated file flow transmission desirable.
