Permanent, 37.5 hours, £27,616 per annum

About Red Squirrel
Our Red Squirrel House provides a loving, nurturing family home for three children and/young people. Red Squirrel is one of several houses that make up our Sycamore cluster, which is mostly based in Kirkcaldy. Sycamore services are widely recognised in Scotland for providing a range of quality therapeutic residential houses for some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the country. The Service is a national resource and as such receives referrals from throughout Scotland.
What we are looking for....
We are looking for full time Residential Workers to join the team in our Red Squirrel house. Working a residential shift pattern you will work closely with the children/young people who live in the house, helping them to overcome the daily challenges they face. Through person-centred approaches you will support the children/young people to develop their lived experience and secure the best outcomes to help them reach their goals. You should be enthusiastic, warm, playful, accepting, curious and empathetic and be able to bring these qualities to your work with children and young people. Our approach is to work in a therapeutic way to support the vulnerable children and young people who live in our residential houses.
You must be comfortable working in a culture based on respect, integrity, innovation and the ability to challenge. You should be able to work in a nurturing way, enabling the children and young people to feel safe and loved. We are looking for individuals who will help us to achieve our vision, which is to:
