Data Quality Analyst - 2 positions
OBI is looking for two Data Quality Analysts to join its neuroinformatics team. These roles will play a key part in supporting OBI related research projects that produce, share, and analyze high quality neuroscience data to advance neuroscience and brain discoveries via Brain-CODE. Brain-CODE is OBI’s large scale neuroinformatics platform for the collection, curation, sharing, and analysis of neuroscience data.
The ideal candidates will have a passion for advancing neuroscience discovery via data driven approaches. Candidates should have experience working and processing health research data within and across at least two modalities (e.g., clinical, imaging, genomics, wearables, etc.).
This position will be a great opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their technical data skills, collaborate with national and international partners, and significantly participate in supporting the advancement of brain discovery and innovation for health impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data curation and quality reporting for data collected on OBI’s Brain-CODE platform.
- Ensure studies comply with OBI’s Data Quality Framework requirements including validating data against protocols, consent versions, ethics approvals, data guidelines, etc.
- Perform additional data validation, data processing, missing data analysis, outlier analysis, standards adoption analysis, semantic labelling, and metadata generation to support data discovery, collaboration, and analysis.
- Run training sessions and workshops with study teams to ensure adoption of the OBI Data Quality Framework and appropriate use of data capture and data curation tools such as REDCap, XNAT, LabKey and other software tools.
- Liaise with study personnel, service providers, and colleagues to ensure timely and complete upload of data to Brain-CODE.
- Work with the OBI neuroinformatics team and service providers in preparing ongoing data packaging and releases. This will include activities such as metadata processing, de-identification, and file packaging of data.
- Support the preparation of data cuts to fulfill data access requests by data users for analysis.
- Support the OBI Operations Lead with respect to tracking research protocols, ethics approvals and data management plans for research studies on an ongoing basis.
- Support the OBI Informatics Program Coordinator with secondary use of datasets.
- Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
- Support and contribute to the creation of new Data Quality Framework related training materials and instructions for data contributors and neuroinformatics platform users.
