An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Analyst to join our Business Support Team in the Therapy and Rehabilitation Services Directorate. This is a permanent, full time, position. You will work closely with the Business Analyst and other analytical colleagues across the Trust to maximise the full potential of the role.

Therapy and Rehabilitation Services is made up of several professional groups from the Allied Health Professionals workforce as well as business, admin and support staff. We are a large and friendly directorate comprising of approx. 700 members of staff. Our services include:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Dietetics
  • Speech and Language Therapy
  • Orthotics
  • Amputee and Wheelchair Services
  • Neuro-rehabilitation Services

Our Directorate sits within the Clinical Support Division however our teams work across and closely with most clinical specialties across the Trust in inpatient, outpatient, and external settings (including patient homes).

This candidate has a real opportunity for shaping the future of Therapies and Analytics. This is an internal consultancy role that has the responsibility for investigating business situations, identifying and evaluating options for improving business systems, defining requirements and ensuring effective use of ICT and information systems in meeting the needs of the business.

Main duties of the job

You will support the delivery and development of information for the Therapies Directorate, supported by the Business Analyst and Senior Service Manager, and a network of talented, professional analysts across the Clinical Support Division and Trust wide. You will work closely with clinical, managerial, and analytical colleagues to design and develop techniques and models to help the Pathway deliver its challenging and exciting transformational programmes. This will include the analysis and validation of various types of data to inform assessment of service performance, benchmarking, capacity and demand modelling, statistical analysis, forecasting, ICT options appraisals, systems upgrades, and system administration and management, alongside identifying and monitoring opportunities for improvement. Your work will impact on the ability of our services to deliver optimum care to patients. #DataSavesLives.

To succeed in the role you will need to have a strong set of technical skills (including SQL, Excel, QlikSense) and a flexible approach, accompanied by excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable you to work with varying levels of clinical and administrative colleagues who possess a range of knowledge and experience. We expect you to be enthusiastic, motivated and keen to develop skills in a supportive environment. Project management experience and/or experience of NHS Information processes and approaches would be beneficial though not essential.
