About the role

Verisk Maplecroft’s datasets are the core of the company’s offering and your numeracy skills, attention to detail, commercial awareness and project management skills will ensure that the datasets are delivered on time to clients with the highest level of accuracy. You will be creative and draw on your domain knowledge to develop new datasets and write analytical content for data clients. As someone with strong quantitative skills, you will support colleagues in the wider Research and Consulting teams with client work and support the Sales team in helping clients to understand and use the company’s data. You will be based in Bath, Edinburgh or London and report to the Head of Country Risk Data.

About the day-to-day responsibilities of the role

  • Support updates to the company’s thematic datasets.
  • Improving these datasets by listening to client feedback, finding new data sources, and implementing new scoring methodologies.
  • Managing a project plan to ensure timely delivery of updates.
  • Supporting colleagues and clients with questions on these datasets in collaboration with the wider Analytics team.
  • Writing occasional data-rich insights to show the value of the data.
  • Using your quantitative skills to help colleagues in Consulting deliver projects on time, on budget, that meet the clients’ needs.

Qualifications


  • Degree level (or equivalent) qualification in a subject with a quantitative element (required)
  • Advanced Excel skills (required)
  • 1+ years of work experience in a quantitative role (required)
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work in a team (required)
  • Domain knowledge (post graduate degree or equivalent experience) in one of the following human rights, politics, environmental or climate science, economics, or commodities (preferred)
