Working Pattern: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

Our team
The Data Product Delivery are part of Data & Machine Learning (DML). We work together to tackle complicated data problems for LBG through building, implementing and supporting strategic technology solutions.
We're looking for a Data Analyst to work on Data requirements. It is expected that this role will own and/or contribute to the management and delivery on a number of projects from initiation to completion, including working closely with colleagues from DML and from across the Group on all aspects of delivering data projects.
They will ensure the fundamentals of Business Analysis excellence are achieved, this this includes governance including risk and issue management, planning and delivering value. They will have responsibility for specific deliverables/backlog items as part of the overall project.
As a Data Analyst of the Future, you should demonstrate a desire to develop their skills and experience, create space to learn and collaborate, demonstrate resilience and adaptability, confidence and a desire to innovate and test new ideas. They will understand, adopt and be able to select with confidence the most appropriate tools and methods to deliver change.
About You:
Essential Skills and Knowledge
  • Demonstrable experience of operating as a Business or Data Analyst or as a Solution Designer or Technical Business Analyst on large programmes
  • Hands on experience using SQL to interrogate datasets and to derive insights
  • Some experience with data modelling concepts and the alignment of business requirements to a target data structure
  • Source to target mapping from source systems to target data structures
  • Solid understanding of business and data analysis techniques and their practical application
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships across teams and with both business and technical stakeholders
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
  • Previous hands-on experience in data warehousing or with legacy and modern database technologies
  • Experience accessing and interrogating data via Google Cloud tools, e.g. BigQuery
  • Experience with Hadoop based technologies and concepts
  • Familiarity with Banking and / or Finance systems and data
  • Familiarity with Property and / or HR systems and data
