Team
The Data Analyst will work alongside other colleagues to support the implementation of Kennedy's Data Strategy. Working from the Data Function, a multidisciplinary core team supported by data experts across the business.
This role will work on a wide range of projects, including mapping data activities across the business, and help identify the right processes and structures for our data capture.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data.
- Work on various data projects and initiatives.
- Identifying gaps in data capture.
- Data mapping between systems.
- Responsible for contributing to the ongoing development and maintenance of a data catalogue that is aligned to physical data assets.
- Responsible to contributing to the ongoing development of a Terms server.
- Documenting data lineage.
- Solving data related issues and communicating resolutions.
- Responsible for contributing to the development of the firms data landscape including end-to-end data flows/transformations and data lineage.
- Experience in determining business data requirements and business rules.
- Building proof of concept dashboards using Power BI.
Required experience
- 1+ years experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
- Experience in data mapping.
- Power BI Dashboard creation.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of data models.
- Experience working within a data or reporting team as an analyst, modeler or data steward.
- Experience creating and using data models and data definitions.
- Experience with improving data quality and identifying data deficiencies.
- Able to recognise business critical data processes
- Solution oriented.
- Good communications Skill
- Work cross-departmentally on data-driven strategies and projects.
- Work with stakeholders to identify improvements in data capture to provide meaning.
- Work with business and technology stakeholders to identify Critical Data Elements.
- Have excellent analytical skills.
