Role: Senior Operations Executive
Organization: Commodities – Global Service Line (CTD-GSL)
Location: Europe
Role Purpose
This key role within Bureau Veritas’ €1 billion global commodities portfolio is at the forefront of BV’s business with its physical trading clients.
Senior Operations Executives (SOE’s) are responsible for delivery of industry-leading operational performance in the CTD services in the raw material supply chain of our clients, building sustainable competitive advantage and margin for Bureau Veritas.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DELIVERABLES
- All duties to be carried out in accordance with Group policies including (but not limited to) Code of Ethics, HSEE and relevant accreditation and quality systems.
- Work closely with our technical teams to continually enhance operational knowledge to ensure inspections are conducted in line with client requirements & internationally accepted procedures, and to be able to support our executing offices in review and approval of weighing & sampling operating procedures.
- Ensure that all job nominations are executed in an efficient, timely and accurate manner, and in accordance with BV’s policies and procedures and industry good practices.
- Maintain regular client communications to improve service delivery and aid business growth – recognizing that CTD operations are 24/7 and some communication will occur outside normal office hours.
- Generate and follow up on business leads, sharing obtained information with the Group.
- Develop & maintain regular dialogue with BV Group offices to monitor current work performance, identify new opportunities and stay up to date with relevant changes in the local market conditions.
- Proactively support the development & rollout of BV’s approved digital solutions to enhance our operating efficiency.
- Promote a culture of close alignment of the various functions with the business to drive customer focus and create a customer-facing organization capable of winning and retaining market share from competition.
PROFILE / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- SOE’s are expected to have demonstrated expertise in one or more subject matters of draft survey, inspection, weighing, sampling, TML.
- Ability to use CTD tools & processes together with comprehensive knowledge and proven practical ability to co-ordinate international operations including job scoping and pricing.
- Ability to be able to communicate verbal and written information in a clear and concise manner and able to plan & organize work tasks to maximise efficiency.
- Good problem solver with strong dispute resolution skills.
- Customer focused with excellent inter-personal skills and competent to attend client meetings.

Applicants will be considered outside of the UK in a hybrid role, dependant on experience, but will be required to travel to the UK offices periodically
