The Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Data Analyst to join our Publishing Operations department. Reporting to Senior Project Manager, you will work to improve data quality, identify patterns, build models, and test and improve predictive algorithms that increase our understanding of customer trends and identify opportunities to improve our products and services. Working with multiple stakeholders, you will support the growth of the company by providing accurate reports, statistics and visualizations to present performance and impact of business decisions and operations based on complex data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing data analysis to assess quality and meaning of data;
  • Using automated tools to identify, analyse, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets, from primary and secondary sources;
  • Collaborate with management to prioritize information needs, preparing necessary reports for internal teams and key stakeholders;
  • Creating reports, dashboards and visualizations to understand overall business performance, highlighting trends, patterns, that can impact both organization and the industry;
  • Establishing key results to measure the effectiveness of business decisions, defining new process improvement opportunities.

About You

  • Relevant University Degree and min. 3 years of experience in a similar role (scholarly publishing, open repositories, or a related area would be a plus);
  • Ability to organize, analyse, model and interpret data with a methodical and logical approach;
  • Highly organized and able to deliver impactful results on time;
  • Accuracy, attention to detail;
  • Perfect communication in written and spoken English;
  • Proactive attitude and creative problem-solving;
  • Experience with designing reports and dashboards;
  • Technical skills: Tableau, Qlik, Salesforce, Excel, SPSS, SAS;
  • Experience in handling reporting packages like Business Objects, programming (JavaScript, XML, or ETL frameworks), databases;
  • Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, and Python is a plus.
