As a key member of our growing data analytics team, you will transform raw data into insights, that help our clients meet their strategic goals. You will also have responsibility for communicating these insights through engaging visual presentations.
What will you do?
- Interpret data from various primary and secondary sources, in order to draw valid inferences and extract key insights.
- Work closely with Account Managers and Project Managers to produce ad-hoc and regular presentations in various formats, that identify critical KPIs and deliver actionable insights to our clients.
- Identify areas to increase efficiency and to further automate processes.
- Help the business maximise the value of data sources by supporting the implementation of new modelling techniques.
Within the first 6 months you will:
- Understand how EIP works, understand our product and become integrated with the team
- In collaboration with your line manager, create a personal development plan that is focused on your development and growth within the department and company
- Work with your colleagues to become familiar with our client base and our analytics tech stack
Within the first 12 months you will:
- Explore new ways to analyse our numerous datasets and add even more value to the service that we provide to our clients
- Further develop your analytics skillset using our data training platform
- Seek out opportunities to apply automation to our existing working practices
Required technical skills
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of SQL, particularly querying and extracting data
- Experience of using stored procedures in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Problem-solving, critical thinking and data visualisation skills
- Knowledge of common statistical methods and applications
- Experience with programming languages such as R or Python
- 3-5 years’ experience in a data analytics role
Desirable technical skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in a data, mathematical or statistics oriented discipline
- Knowledge of the insurance sector
- An understanding of data protection and GDPR
