Data Analyst
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting data, analysing results, and providing actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency, solve complex business problems, and drive informed decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, process, and transform data into meaningful reports, visualizations, and dashboards. Your role will involve:
Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Cleaning:Acquiring, importing, and integrating data from various sources.
Cleaning and preprocessing data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Identifying and rectifying data quality issues.
Data Analysis:Applying statistical techniques to analyze datasets and identify trends, patterns, and outliers.
Conducting exploratory data analysis to discover insights and formulate hypotheses.
Performing data profiling and profiling to understand data characteristics.
Report Generation:Creating reports, summaries, and presentations to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Designing and generating regular and ad-hoc reports based on business requirements.
Visualization:Developing visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to effectively communicate analytical results.
Using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization tools to enhance data representation.
Data Interpretation:Interpreting data and providing actionable recommendations to support business decisions.
Collaborating with teams to understand business objectives and align analyses accordingly.
Predictive Analytics:Developing and implementing models for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Forecasting future trends and outcomes based on historical data.
Collaboration:Collaborating with cross-functional teams including business managers, data engineers, and other analysts.
Assisting in translating business needs into analytical requirements.
Continuous Improvement:Staying up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analysis.
Identifying opportunities to improve data analysis processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create compelling visual representations of data.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
