Amentum is currently seeking Data Analyst in Quantico, VA and Huntsville, AL.
A successful candidate will conduct full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will also monitor performance documentation, and metrics to identify improvements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques.
- Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases / data systems.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
- Support activities, functions, or duties, as they arise.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or in another field with demonstrable coursework in these areas.
- One year experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (e.g. Business Objects), databases (e.g. SQL), and programming (e.g. XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (e.g. Excel, SPSS, SAS).
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
- The above experience should demonstrate the capability to deliver products under conditions of high operational tempo, frequently adjusting priorities and flux in requirements, on time. It should also demonstrate the ability to interface effectively with senior members of external organizations to develop and support technical positions, to justify technical recommendations, and communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
- Ability to obtain a DoJ Secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a DoJ Secret security clearance.
