Key Accountabilities
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our M&S Connect team on a 6 month fixed term contract basis.M&S Connect is a newly created function at M&S, combining Financial Services, customer Loyalty including the Sparks programme, gift cards and payments (including Visa, Mastercard, PayPal etc). Combining these functions enables us to best understand our customer in order to optimise their personalised experience.

What you'll do
- Design and develop automated reporting dashboards to support the Connect business including financial services products (credit cards, travel money, Loyalty)
- Undertake review of all key Connect regular financial and commercial reports, re-design as appropriate, creating user friendly and visual reports requiring minimal user input to update
- Work closely with Finance, Commercial, Marketing, and M&S Bank, to develop data insights that will support the decision making and growth of M&S’s financial offering.
- Analyse customer data from M&S Retail and M&S Bank to identify trends and opportunities for growth and improvement
- Train and educate end users on understanding and interpreting the data and provide process notes on how to update all newly created dashboards and reports.
Who you are
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Power BI with extensive experience of designing dashboards and
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to evaluate multiple sources of information to make complex judgements
- Ability to liaise with finance, commercial and business analysts to fully understand business needs in order to develop the best solution for the end user
- Ability to train other users how to update reports once built
- Ability to manage own workload and find solutions to problems without detailed management oversight
