About the Job:

Are you an experienced administrator with a keen eye for detail and a background in filing? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to be part of the smarter working project and the decommissioning of The Grange later this year.

We are looking for candidates who can provide reliable, efficient, and effective support across high-level administrative teams, specifically related to the delivery of a specialist payroll service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll-related information, including setting up new starter details and handling changes to existing contracts.
  • Perform varied pension, pay, employment, and financial processing tasks.
  • Respond to typical client queries, providing standard information and guidance regarding the service.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce standard correspondence in accordance with set procedures and deadlines.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you will need the following skills and qualities:

  • Good knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Confidence, flexibility, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to balance priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience in customer-focused roles with the ability to explain basic payroll information.
  • Excellent communication skills to handle telephone inquiries from council and school staff with a focus on customer care.
  • Ability to work independently, organizing tasks appropriately and adapting to changing priorities to meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract

Salary: £11.59 per hour
