The Emergency Services will rely on the ESN to save lives and protect us all, it will provide essential new voice, data services and critical communications to 300,000 members of Britain's Blue Light teams. As Cyber Security Governance & Assurance Specialist, you'll play an important part in helping to protect this vital service, which is of critical importance to the operational effectiveness of the emergency services.
What you’ll be doing
1. Supporting the delivery and maintenance of the Service’s Security Management Plan (SMP) and Information Security Management System (ISMS)
2. Implementing a systematic and structured process for the identification and management of security risks
3. Working with project teams to provide security assessment & assurance activities related to new projects and/or change initiatives
4. Contributing to engagement with the Customer Security Assurance team, including the production and presentation of reports / presentations to support the ongoing security assurance of the Service
5. Scoping and completing security assessment & assurance reviews

What we would like to see on your CV
1. Have a proven track record in security and information risk management
2. Have experience in implementing a recognised security framework such as an ISO 270001 conformant Information Security Management System (ISMS) or the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF)
3. Be comfortable carrying out security assurance activities and writing reports and recommendations
4. Be experienced in communicating with colleagues, suppliers and customers across all levels
5. The successful candidate must be willing to undergo BPSS Level Government Screening which ideally requires residence in the UK for a minimum of 3 years
