Partnerships and Delivery
Our new Partnerships and Delivery unit brings together multi-disciplinary teams to tackle urgent, strategic and complex emerging issues. You will join a small collaborative core that thinks 'partnerships first' and makes change happen. You will work with officers across the council, with central government and with our partners in the wider public and voluntary and community sectors in a fast environment.
About us
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Programme Managers. If you’re looking for a fresh challenge that will immerse you in a fast-paced working environment that is dynamic and involves a diverse range of partners then this secondment may be just the role for you.
Do you have excellent project and programme management skills with an eye for detail and a focus on continuous improvement? Are you able to combine these planning skills with an ability to adapt and change direction when necessary? And can you do all of this whilst maintaining excellent interpersonal relationships with colleagues at a range of different levels and across different stakeholders and organisations?
You will be part of an ‘always learning’ team striving to be the best we can be with a strong focus on being creative to keep track of programme activity and to move things forward in a constructive and supportive way.
About the role
There are two secondments / fixed term contracts available:
Homes for Ukraine and Migration
Oxfordshire communities have shown incredible generosity and compassion in welcoming Ukrainian guests into their homes. The County Council has a vital role in delivering support for hosts and guests and in ensuring their ongoing wellbeing. In addition, the council and its partners have a range of duties towards asylum seekers and other migrants. Our team is responsible for supporting the whole-system partnership response and in developing our policy and delivery framework in this area. The key aim of the this role is to manage the transition of the programme from a primary focus on a single resettlement scheme (Homes for Ukraine) to a broader programme of activity that supports all of the resettlement schemes across the county, as well as responding to the needs of asylum seekers who have arrived in Oxfordshire.
Tackling the Cost of Living Crisis and Economic Inequality
Rising costs of living continue to dominate headlines and have significant impact on the lives of our residents. Our unit is responsible for delivering a range of immediate interventions that directly support residents and for putting together longer term plans to tackle economic inequality. The primary aim of the role is to develop and deliver a collaborative plan to support vulnerable residents through the crisis and over the longer term.
.
Whilst knowledge of these subject areas is a bonus, the primary attributes we are looking for in the successful candidates are an ability to manage these broad programmes efficiently and effectively, advise on performance measures to support improvements in outcomes, and an ability to do this in an engaging and supportive way.
The essential criteria for both posts are set out in the attached Programme Manager Job Description.
For each post, your role will be to coordinate a programme of work to deliver across our agenda. You will be confident in managing a multi-million pound programme budget and engaging senior stakeholders internally and externally. You will be diplomatic but with a passion for delivery and with the professional experience to maintain grip across a complex programme of activity.
