If you have answered yes then this Cyber Security Degree Apprenticeship might be your calling!

Lockheed Martin’s Cyber Works Centre, in Gloucester, is undertaking a period of growth with multiple programmes in the Cyber & Intelligence and Spectrum Convergence domains delivering everything from secure software – our core business – to integrated cyber and electronic warfare solutions. This period of growth offers new and exciting challenges for the team, offering opportunities to embrace new technologies and different software development practices. Lockheed Martin’s apprenticeship scheme offers the ability to earn a salary whilst you are studying for nationally recognised qualifications. You’ll get to work alongside our experts who have a wide range of knowledge and experiences to share with you, with a programme designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills for a highly successful career with us. We understand and value individuality, therefore your training and development will be tailored specifically to help you achieve your goals.

At Lockheed Martin we have a diverse portfolio, featuring complex technology integration for rotary and fixed wing, maritime, electronic warfare, cyber solutions, training and logistics and postal systems, artificial intelligence, image analytics and machine learning technologies.

You can expect outstanding benefits, a diverse and inclusive work environment, ongoing career development and support, rewards and recognition to reward you for your hard work, and more.

The apprenticeship will entail on the job learning at LMUK Cyber Works Centre together with external training leading to a Bachelor of Science Honours degree on a block release basis. You will also have the opportunity to undertake a number of internal training courses to complement their external training. The on-site learning will see you embedded into various projects at LMUK Cyber Works Centre where, with guidance from Subject Matter Experts, you will develop skills and gain experience to provide evidence of your knowledge and learning. During these rotations, apprentices will be exposed to several disciplines (Systems, Software Engineering, Integration & Test, and Infrastructure), and will work on all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.

What will you get from this role?

You will get to work with world leading technology and learn from industry experts to give you the best start possible within the world of Cyber Security. We’ll provide you with meaningful work that will allow you to grow your skills and enhance your career with us, but equally important to us is that you enjoy a strong work life balance as well. That’s why we offer flexible work schedules and a comprehensive benefits suite to enable you to live a healthy fulfilling life at and outside of work. Our 9-day working fortnight is a particular favourite amongst the team, giving you every other Friday off, to spend more time doing the things you enjoy.
