Due to the sensitive nature of this role you may be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

Why this job matters:
In your role as a Cyber Security Analyst, you’ll bring your technical expertise to bear on interesting and challenging problems within Cyber Security. You will solve real-word problems for customers and deliver solutions in an agile manner and ensure we build exactly what they need to time/cost/quality. You will have the opportunity to learn about a wide range of technologies, hardware, and DevOps practices. The solutions you create will utilise the latest technologies, demonstrate innovation and thought-leadership, and provide brilliant outcomes for customers.
What you’ll do:
- Responding to immediate complex security threats on the Mon 3 contract
- Responsible for working in a Security Operation Centre (SOC) environment
- Procedure creation and continuous improvement
- Responsible for initial triage on alerts and incidents.
- The SOC team’s goal is to detect, analyse, and respond to cybersecurity incidents using a combination of cutting edge technology and a strong set of processes.
- SOC staff work across the customer organisation, typically with other support teams to ensure security issues are addressed quickly upon discovery. Monitor, analyse and defend against malicious or unusual activity that could be indicative of a security incident or compromise.
What you'll bring:
- Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes and can apply these to incidents investigations and management
- Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications
- Knowledge of common Internet protocols and applications
- Knowledge and hands on experience of IP networks and their key components
You might even have:
- Knowledge of Security management, network and information security, people security and running of one or more services within a Security Operations Centre
- Experience working within an IT/IP network-based environment
- CompTia Network+, Security+, CSA+ and/or CEH or equivalent
