Overview:
Customer Support Engineer
Location: Hybrid – Chesterfield, UK

About the Role
As the Customer Support Engineer your duties will be to support, diagnose and repair customer issues within various infrastructure solutions in alignment with the contractual obligations that are in place.
You will be working with an existing team of engineers and specialists, where your role will be to ensure that Service Level Agreement times (SLA’s) are achieved, and that downtime is kept to a minimum. You will interact with, customer, third-party partners and suppliers as / when necessary to resolve the issues that arise.

About you
We’re looking for an experienced CS engineer, with a minimum of 3 years working within the IT/Software industry. As our CS engineer you will have a strong customer focus and should possess excellent customer facing and communication skills too. Alongside strong multi-vendor networking, infrastructure, server and platform knowledge

Essential
  • Windows Server 2012 onwards.
  • Network and Infrastructure skills.
  • Server Hardware Architecture (i.e. RAID etc.)
Desirable
  • Knowledge of Draytek Routers
  • Linux OS skills.
  • PostgreSQL experience.
  • Peripheral Hardware Understanding (i.e. network printers and scanners etc.)
