About the role

We at Connect Health are delighted to be recruiting for an Operations manager to join our established services in East Kent and Sussex, you will join our team of 15 Operations Managers nationally to lead and manage our NHS services.

The main purpose of the Operations Manager role is to:

  • Plan and deliver services in line with customer expectations and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure services are delivered in line with financial planning
  • Support continuous improvement to improve value in healthcare
  • Ensure that your team are equipped and supported to carry out their role.

We are looking for a well-organised Operations Manager, to motivate and lead their team using their inspiring leadership skills to enable the team to deliver quality clinical care for patients with Musculoskeletal conditions.


You will lead a regional leadership team of Clinical Leads and Team Leads who line manage an energetic multi-disciplinary team of physiotherapists, osteopaths, sports therapists, podiatrists, doctors, and nurses delivering expert clinical care serving the area.


The Operations Manager will need to be organised, consistent and lead by example. Attention to detail and leadership style will be key factors influencing success. Being present and visible to direct reports and the wider business is an essential element of the role, including as a point of escalation to effectively manage service issues as they happen. Being physically present in the defined region is of paramount importance in the role to attend customer/commissioner meetings, visit services, and engage team members as a visible and present leader. However, the role is hybrid and home working when appropriate is encouraged to achieve an excellent work life balance.


Main Duties of the role:

  • To deliver Connect Health services within a designated area in line with the contractual requirements of the customer
  • To produce area/service performance reports in line with business requirements
  • To help implement the organisations operational strategy
  • To identify and pro-actively manage operational risks to effective and efficient service delivery
  • To establish effective customer relationships that lead to organic growth opportunities for Connect Health’s Business development team
  • To drive improvement by implementing service specific quality improvement initiatives
  • To deliver contracts in line with budget plans

  • An ability to identify and implement the requirements for effective service delivery via effective contract management and demand/capacity planning.
  • The individual will be able to manage risks in relation to health and safety, patient safety and work in compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Able to present and interpret performance related data using established methods to drive continuous improvement and effective change management
