Summary of position

As a Sales & Customer Service Executive you will be responsible for answering incoming phone calls and responding to emails from prospective guests and clients. This role will act as a front line ambassador for Clays and will often make the' first impression' to our guests as the voice and personality of the brand.

You will provide a delightful and engaging telephone and email manner and the service you provide will make our guests feel valued and reflect the exceptional experience to come. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a confident phone manner and outstanding communication skills.

Through the amazing customer experience that you provide, you will generate leads to hit a pre-booked sales target for new reservations . Whether it’s a birthday party for 20 guests, or a current client asking a question, you will efficiently liaise with the client to create a memorable experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your role will include but may not be limited to;

  • Using the reservation system for online customer bookings
  • Responding to Telephone and email enquiries in order to maximise the customer experience and revenue potential
  • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of our products, services, and promotions to effectively address customer questions and concerns.
  • Hit and exceed a pre booked sales target
  • Respond to event enquiries efficiently, send proposals & convert opportunities
  • Effective use of sales systems to manage bookings
  • Ensure accurate recording of guests data
  • Work collaboratively with our Events & Finance teams to ensure bookings are effectively handed over to ensure a seamless guest experience

Skills, desired qualifications and attributes

  • Experience in a similar role in the hospitality and sales
  • A keen eye for detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in working with a CRM & Reservation system preferrable
  • Confident, professional, and welcoming personality
  • Have fantastic time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Take initiative, can solve problems calmly and work well under pressure
  • Have excellent understanding of menus/ packages
  • Always looking for opportunities to improve your knowledge and abilities
  • Passionate about hospitality and creating amazing experiences
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Honest with strong moral principles
  • Take initiative, can solve problems calmly and work well under pressure
