Job description
The Role:
To be successful in this role you’ll first and foremost need to have strong communication skills. As well as an excellent telephone manner, keyboard, and writing skills, you’ll also need to be a good listener - someone with an empathetic and non-judgmental ear who can extract and retain information from customers.
You’ll naturally need to have the ability to use multiple IT systems, and accurately capture and record customer information. You’ll also be able to work within defined time and quality guidelines, tailoring your support to fully resolve customer queries in line with these.
As a Customer Service Advisor you’ll be the first point of contact for one of our public services. Involving both inbound and outbound calls, the people you speak to will have a range of questions or concerns – and using a calm and considered approach you’ll provide important support and advice at a time of need, recording this in the relevant systems as you go.
You won’t be doing this alone, everyone who joins us receives all the training and shadowing they need before they start fielding active calls. You’ll also receive support from your friendly team members and your Manager.
You will go home at the end of the day with the satisfaction of knowing that you’ve made a difference to someone.
