Job description

As a Customer Services Advisor in the Corporate Contact Centre, you will represent the council across several contact points: telephone, email, web chat and social media. Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is committed to providing quality services to our residents and customers in a consistent way regardless of how customers choose to make contact. There is the possibility to work in the council reception once fully trained, the high number of calls and emails we receive mean you will predominantly be answering telephone calls and responding to email enquiries in this role.

Working shifts 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30pm Friday.

This is a hybrid role so once trained you will be working approximately 40% of your time from home.

The council is currently undergoing a consultation in relation to pay and grading and as a result of this the pay and benefits advertised may be subject to change. It is anticipated that this review should be concluded by August 2023.
