The Customer Service Administrator is based in our Darlington office assisting management to maximise the collection of all NDR (non domestic rent) debts received from our clients. The role is based within our internal enforcement operation.

You will ultimately be responsible for all NDR cases from receipt to return to the client including verifying address details, company status and monitoring the timeliness of enforcement visits.

Responsibilities

  • You will be required to liaise with our Enforcement Agents, Enforcement Support, our Clients, Client Managers by phone and email.
  • Deal with customer enquiries which have been sent to ZenDesk. This may require contacting the client direct to obtain further information on the case
  • Ensure any emails or holds which are applied to an account are followed through until the enquiry has been resolved fully.
  • Monitoring “On Hold” NNDR cases and ensuring that any queries that resulted in the hold are resolved quickly and efficiently and that the case progresses. Any holds which are due to expiry you contact the client for an update on the hold and confirm we are ok to enforce on the case.
  • Monitor Enforcement Agents arrangements to ensure the payments have been made to prevent the arrangement from breaking.
  • Monitor ‘Companies House’ tasks and alert section where Companies have been identified as Dissolved to ensure these are returned prior to an Enforcement Agent being allocated to the account.
  • Handle calls from enforcement agents and occasionally from our clients and debtors
  • Carry out ad-hoc company searches and follow required trace procedures to establish the status of companies if and when required.
  • Keep up to date regarding business rates legislation, process, procedures and policies.
  • Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required and compatible with and/or arising from those listed above or directed by the enforcement support manager.

Personal qualities, experience and skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Be a team player with the ability to work alone and on your own initiative
  • Good attention to detail.
