Job Title: Customer Support Job Category Assistant

(Grade):

Level/Salary Living Wage Hours: 40 hours per week less 1 hour
Range/Band: per day lunch break.

Location: Hospital sites in Lisburn and Belfast and Position Type: Permanent Full Time greater Lisburn area

Reports to: Director

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To work as part of the Shopmobility team to aid people with mobility problems to use equipment such as electric scooters and wheelchairs to get around the hospital grounds to attend appointments and clinics.

To ensure provision to users is of a high standard and deliver an excellent level of customer service.

To liaise daily with Head Office to ensure efficiency and service targets are being achieved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following reflects typical duties and is not intended to be a comprehensive description of all tasks:

1. To deal on a daily basis, face-to-face or by telephone and email, with customers, funders, health workers and the general public.

2. To assess and train new customers on the use of electric scooters and wheelchairs.

3. To gain an all-round knowledge of the equipment for hire in order to comply with Health & Safety procedures

4. To complete a pre-use inspection and a visual check on return of all equipment for damage.

5. To complete relevant paperwork for daily hire.

6. To add and update computer database records, collate statistical information in order to report to BHSCT or SEHSCT.

7. To attend events and shows to provide training, demonstrations and information on the service.

8. To provide a delivery and pick-up service as part of our ‘Meet and Greet’ service to customers unable to reach our unit and to liaise with other hospital staff and employees.

9. To regularly deep clean equipment and unit and manage Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as part of infection management.

Good customer service experience. Knowledge of disability issues.

communication skills both verbal and written.
