The Healthy Homes Service supports low-income homeowners and private rented tenants make their homes warmer, healthier, and cheaper to heat, providing energy efficiency improvements, essential repairs and affordable financial assistance.
A new Customer Service and Reporting Officer is required to join the service to help us to deliver work that supports the Council’s key objectives of reducing inequalities, tackling the climate emergency, and making strong and thriving towns and places.
The successful applicant will be working mainly on the Home Upgrade Grant Phase 2 (HUG2) project which will provide insulation, ventilation and clean heating improvements to low-income households that don’t use gas to heat their homes. They will deal with all customer enquiries and referrals from frontline other council services and partner organisations, providing support to residents, collaborating closely with other team members and contractors to ensure work is carried out in a timely and efficient manner. They will also collect, collate, and monitor contractor performance data, working closely with the Housing Project Manager to manage the HUG2 scheme through to successful completion.
If you have good customer service skills and are a confident and clear communicator, we will welcome your application. You will have good organisational skills and be able to prioritise and manage your own customer caseload, ensuring customers are fully supported through their applications for works to their homes.
