Position Summary:
Under limited supervision, administers activities concerned with contracts for purchase or sale of equipment, materials, products, or services. Interfaces daily with customers (on the customer site or off-site), and is responsible for managing and developing customer relationships by resolving product/service issues in a timely manner; addressing routine customer requests, placing customer orders, quoting non-contract requirements, processing/facilitating RMAs and performing order expediting as necessary.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Management of assigned customer accounts by processing of RFQs, order entry, responding to customer requests for stock status, pricing, follow-up and reschedules. Responsible for achieving monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals and margin/review goals.
  • Provides a high level of service to delight customers and grow existing accounts. Proactively develops new accounts through capitalization on sales opportunities.
  • Serves as the liaison between the customer and various internal departments. Provides product/service information to customers to ensure they receive world-class service.
  • Reviews the Cardex open order report on a daily basis to ensure stock is available to meet customer demand as required. Works closely with the Purchasing and Operations functions to establish commitment dates and manage the flow of information to the customer. Works to reduce past due orders and takes a proactive approach to preventing orders from becoming delinquent.
  • Assist the Program Manager/Program Coordinator in developing and implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Establishes and developing close relationships with the customer, resulting in gained market share. Research the business activities of the customer and give findings to the Program Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 4-6 year's of related work experience
  • Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to make proactive contact with customers to obtain additional business
  • Team player with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Has the ability to work effectively with internal and external management and customers
  • Able to produce desired results in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (preferred)
  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • Working knowledge of export requirements and/or government regulations
  • Knowledge of base financial principles
