We have an interesting Project Manager position available within our Generation Information Systems function, based out of our Gloucester office.
As our Project Manager you’ll manage the successful delivery of medium and/or moderately complex projects or workstreams within our major change programmes. You’ll run all projects/workstreams within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost to deliver on each customers specified requirements.
You’ll strive to ensure that the management and support for each project is given, as well as continuous monitoring of progress, budget, risks, issues and variances is carried out.

We can offer a competitive salary from £50,672 - £79,111 and you’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position, however we will be happy to discuss options regarding part time flexibility and job share if you would like to highlight this on your application.

What you’ll be doing
As well as representing the Project Team and keeping your Seniors informed on all Project activity you’ll:
Prepare and maintain realistic project and quality plans- Estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful delivery of projects in line with the agreed scope
- You’ll consistently monitor the performance of your projects against plan and take action on deviations from the agreed tolerances
- Manage risks throughout the life of the Project and develop contingency plans
- Reassure the management team and/or Project Board of the overall direction and integrity of each project/business case/workstream
- Provide effective leadership to all in the Project Team, keeping members motivated and engaged, supporting development requirements and provide coaching where required
- Build and maintain relationships with senior level stakeholders, colleagues across Business and external suppliers wherever appropriate
- Ensure your projects once completed are formally closed, with areas of improvement captured and actioned
Who you are
Ideally, you’ll hold your Prince2 accreditation and have experience of managing moderate projects/workstreams as well as PMO disciplines. Demonstrable experience of delivering in-house development and third party products are welcomed.
You’ll bring exceptional leadership skills and qualities to this Project Management position, proactively motivating and encouraging members of your Team to provide the best service possible. You’ll also be a great relationship builder, fostering strong and mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong financial acumen, actioned-focused and being able to work in a challenging and demanding role will be paramount to your success as a Project Manager within GenIS.
