Your New Role...
The Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Customer Marketing department are charged with creating and implementing best in-class, customer facing activities that maximise the value of WBD & represented content at point of purchase.
The team work closely with both sales and marketing to create bespoke retail solutions for Games, Film & Catalogue product – not just for WBD product, but also for the third-party studios and publishers that we represent.
Working cross category and with a strong retail interface this is an exciting and pivotal role in ensuring a strong and relevant retail presence – ensuring that all retail opportunities are maximised within the relevant budgetary parameters.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Assist in the development and planning of customer (trade) specific UK and Ireland strategies that mirror retailer goals and objectives, using all aspects of the sales and marketing mix for Film, TV, and Games.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing to deliver bespoke plans to support retail goals and identify incremental business opportunities to deliver WBD objectives within retailers.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of in-store & online environment and specific retailer trading strategies for key account responsibilities. Offer insights and suggestions that add value to the consumer proposition.
- Assist the Customer Marketing team with being the conduit between sales and Marketing to ensure key organisational objectives are met to deliver best in-class execution at retail.
- Manage budget allocations across title releases to ensure optimum trade and consumer marketing funding and campaigns.
- Work closely with Marketing and Sales to gain clear insight into ROI and opportunities to further leverage spend and efforts to greater effect.
- Develop a customer relationship network that identifies key decision makers and makes WBD the preferred partner for retailer initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience...
- Experience working in retail environment across all channels
- Displays a good understanding of sales drivers and retail dynamics
- Effective interpersonal skills, with solid stakeholder management experience
- Ability to work within a broad team and under pressure
- Clear understanding of P&L and ROI
- Solid presentation and communication skills
- Computer literate – proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- The Home Entertainment and Games industries are both fast moving – at times, launching more than ten different products in any one week. Therefore, specific knowledge of these areas gained within a working environment would be advantageous
- This is an entry level role, where we would expect the successful candidate to have gained proven experience within a similar role / function.
