Our Client Relationship Programme comprises a number of ways in which we provide best in class account support for our priority clients. The Client Account Manager (CAM) plays a pivotal role, supporting the the Lead Client Service Partner (LCSP) by overseeing day-to-day account operations and coordinating the activities of the cross-firm account team.

The CAM role will focus on specific accounts within the Government and Public Sector industry, supporting the LCSP and account team on the day-to-day operations of the account. The CAM will work collaboratively across the account team(s), Government and Public Sector leadership, Service Lines and Growth function to develop a network of internal relationships across Deloitte to bring the best of the firm to the client.

Our CAMs play a central and important role within the account team, and are principally involved in:

  • Client Relationships: coordinating team activities in building multiple strong relationships with stakeholders in the client; supporting identification of opportunities for the team to proactively offer insights, thought leadership and points of view to the client
  • Strategic Opportunities: supporting the LCSP and account team to understand services provided and the potential for new solutions and proposals to meet client priorities; delivering key activities in the planning and execution of account strategies and annual campaigns
  • Account Team: providing account and pursuit teams with up-to-date information on client challenges, news and industry trends
  • Leadership: managing team meetings and communication processes; providing ongoing support to the LCSP in defining and consistently communicating the vision and strategy for the team
  • Commercials: monitoring and reporting on account financial performance; supporting the LCSP and the team in developing the overall annual account plan and the plan for each Business area/Service Line
  • Quality & Risk: collaborating with internal functions in raising and resolving any risk or brand issues

We are looking for candidates that are experienced in relationship/account management roles with a passion for client excellence and a curiosity for their clients’ business.

Essential

  • Excellent project management skills, with a strong track record of executing projects and initiatives to tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Office 365 tools including leveraging intelligence through CRM systems to generate powerful, actionable intelligence for the account(s)
  • Quantitatively literate, confident with financial reporting and being able to spot the ‘story behind the numbers’ to identify trends and themes to recommend courses of action
  • Understanding of, and an ability to monitor risk
  • Excellent communication skills, should be able to present findings concisely and engage leadership
  • Excellent stakeholder management, in particular should be able to manage upwards effectively
  • Currently hold an SC or DV level clearance, or are eligible and willing to obtain this

Desirable

  • Experience in an account management role
  • Strong understanding of Government and Public Sector industry
  • Professional services experience or knowledge of large, global, matrix style partnership organisations
  • Experience of using Salesforce as a CRM tool
