We are looking to welcome Store assistants to join our amazing team here at the Number 1 IKEA unit in the world!

Expected Starting Date: 5th of August 2023



WHAT WE OFFER

• £10.90 basic hourly rate
• Living Wage Foundation Employer

We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers, we have contracts from 12 to 30 hours per week working 3/4/5 days over 7 which will be a combination of dayshifts, evenings, weekend working is a requirement of the role and we will need to be flexible with your shifts which will be discussed at interview. All our part-time contracts will receive 1 in 4 weekends off.

All interviews for these roles will take place on the 18th of July 2023.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
The ideal candidate will have a passion to ensure our customers have an amazing shopping experience, an eagerness to learn and embrace change with a solution-orientated approach to the many challenges and tasks that present themselves. You will have the ambition to grow within IKEA and to help develop others too. Previous experience in a sales or customer service environment is desirable.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

SALES

• Build loyalty by listening to our customers & using your knowledge of IKEA product range offer informed solutions.
• You keep your area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked, and ensure that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience
• You actively approach customers to identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings.

SELF SERVE WAREHOUSE
You will ideally bring with you previous customer service experience, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves as this is a fast-paced role in our Self-Serve Warehouse where you will be working with customers and also moving stock,(with a pump truck and will involve heavy lifting) ensuring a clean and safe environment in the process.
