Job description
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience working as a Customer Engineer in Pre-Sales or as a creative developer.
- Experience with legacy and modern application development, cloud service delivery, and deployment.
- Experience with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
- Experience in a customer-facing role or as a technical sales engineer in a cloud environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in networking areas such as Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization and their application to PaaS and IaaS technologies.
- Experience with large-scale deployments, developing scalable architectures using API management, microservice frameworks, PaaS and container orchestration systems.
- Experience working in the financial services industry or in a specialist area of technology.
- Experience with cloud-native software development methodologies/tools to support application development/deployment stages, including CI/CD.
- Understanding of application security patterns, including web application security, service mesh and mobile security strategies.

In this role, you will work with the Innovation, Customer and Engineering teams in the development of the prototypes. As the prototype develops you will work with commercial specialists to develop the business case and transition the work to the customer, Google or partner teams to develop and scale the idea. You will develop an understanding of diverse requirements and adapt to multiple technology types in the pursuit of the development of the prototypes. You will manage expectations and communicate the status of the deliverables to the broader customer and Google teams.

Responsibilities
- Manage and lead requirements gathering workshops to understand what the prototype needs to do.
- Develop prototype solutions using cost effective approaches to solving a problem.
- Outline the issues in developing a cost effective solution where no such solution exists.
- Be technically flexible to discover and leverage other technologies as necessary from both within and outside Google.
