Job description
We're looking for enthusiastic and friendly Customer Experience Assistants to join our team, on a casual basis, providing a legendary customer experience to our audiences and visitors at our city-centre venues His Majesty's Theatre, Music Hall and the Lemon Tree.
With vacancies across both Front of House and Box Office, if you have strong communication skills, attention to detail, are great with people and can work independently, while always having the customer at the heart of everything you do, we want to hear from you! Experience of sales/upselling and cash handling would be beneficial. For our box office roles, excellent IT skills and written skills are a must, as you will sell tickets in person and on the phone using our ticketing/CRM system, and you'll respond to customer enquiries by email and social media channels. You'll also carry out a reception service for our venues, greeting visitors with a warm Aberdeen Performing Arts welcome. Due to the nature of our Front of House roles, and due to licensing laws, you should be over 18 to apply.
All our customer experience assistants work across all three of our venues, from working at a west-end musical at His Majesty's one night, a classical concert or comedian at the Music Hall the next, followed by a rock gig or a small-scale drama at the Lemon Tree. It makes for an interesting and varied job, and you'll thrive on the hustle and bustle of our busy venues, as well as providing great customer service to people from all walks of life. You'll undertake important roles in fire safety, first aid, and the security and safety of our customers while they are in the building.
Shifts available are flexible and offered on a casual basis, however due to the nature of our business, you'll be mostly working evenings and weekends, although occasional weekday daytime shifts may be available.
Aberdeen Performing Arts is a real living wage employer, with rate of pay for these roles £10.90 per hour, and we offer an excellent benefits package which includes staff discounts and offers. Aberdeen Performing Arts is an award-winning creative hub at the heart of city life. We run three city centre venues, His Majestys Theatre, the Music Hall and the Lemon Tree and a variety of city centre festivals and curated weekends including, Granite Noir, Light the Blue, True North, Rise Up and Delve.
