Job description
The starting salary for this role is £12,488.50 per annum pro rata to £24,977 based on an 18-hour working week.
The working hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 8:45am to 3:15pm.
You will be based at, and work from, one of our Adult Learning Centres at least one day each week, so you will need to be able to easily commute and live within a reasonable travelling distance from a centre. Our centres are based in: Camberley, Esher, Farnham, Guildford, Molesey, Sunbury and Woking.

About the role
We are now looking to appoint a Customer Advisor to join our Customer Service Team. We are a busy, friendly team of several part-time members of staff, whose main responsibility is to provide a high level of customer service directly to members of the public. The team forms part of the larger Learning Services Team within Surrey Adult Learning.
You will be part of a team acting as the first point of contact for telephone enquiries and enrolments for adults interested in attending adult learning classes. You will provide initial information and advice, and a high level of customer care. You will input real time enrolments, process payments and refunds, along with attendance and achievement data on the Service's Management Information System (MIS).
About you
We’re looking for someone who has some previous experience in a customer service environment and an interest in adult learning. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be essential in this role. You will need to be a strong team player with excellent administration skills and the ability to manage your own workload, meet deadlines and prioritise as required. High standards of accuracy and attention to detail are required.
