An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Risk Provisioning Specialist (internal title Provisions Oversight Specialist), who will be responsible for managing the IFRS 9 provisioning methodology for Tesco Bank, you will be key in understanding and improving the efficiency of the bad debt provision calculation, driving forward the necessary changes to optimise the accuracy of the solution and communicating to senior stakeholders the outputs and movements necessary for strategic decision making.

Key Responsibilities
- Coach & Support junior member of the team & deputise for the senior managers where necessary.
- Lead the redevelopment of key inputs, models and assumptions underpinning the provisioning methodology to optimise the balance between accuracy, volatility, and transparency.
- Provide the necessary analytics to explain the monthly trends in the provisioning movements to aid business decisioning.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and supporting all business areas to achieve overall business objectives.
- Provide ad hoc analysis on a variety of topics to influence strategic decision making with the ability to simplify the message depending on the audience.
- Identify opportunities to improve the provisions process with a focus on framework & controls.
- Support the delivery of half year and year end external audit requirements associated with our provisioning methodology.
- Feed into the requirements of the provisioning adequacy framework to ensure compliance and accuracy of our overall solution.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Analytical & numeracy background.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of Credit Risk Modelling.
- SAS or SQL experience is essential.
- Practical experience of communicating at all levels.
- IFRS9 knowledge and experience.
