CREDIT CONTROLLER
World Options are a provider of international courier, parcel delivery and freight services. We provide a simple online booking system to businesses so they can compare the prices of the largest courier companies and offer the most competitive rates.
We have an exciting opportunity within our Accounts department. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering an exceptional service with a confident personality. This is a complex and varied role in an exciting, friendly and busy accounts environment, providing a great opportunity for someone to enhance their skills.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within a similar role in accounts.
Desired Experience:
- Knowledge of couriers including UPS, DHL, TNT and FedEx and use of air and road freight would be an advantage
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the debt on your own portfolio of customers, ensuring all old debt is chased weekly.
- Allocation of payments received
- General Housekeeping of accounts.
- Credit checking new customer and advising of recommended payment terms
- Chasing payments via telephone and email
- Deal with incoming customer calls and emails, eg issuing copy invoices and statements, updating account information
- Assist team members with their ledgers as needed
- Communicate with other departments to ensure accounts are dealt with in a timely manner
- Maintain regular contact with customer regarding their debt
- Building relationships with customers to ensure smooth running of accounts.
The Individual:
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
- Positive attitude to work with high attention to detail.
- Good computer skills are essential as the role involves using World Options bespoke software programs.
- Good experience with all Microsoft packages particularly Excel.
- Good ability to work under pressure.

Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £21,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
