Job description
We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Legal Credit Controller to join an accounts team based in the Edgbaston area. This is a full-time permanent role, which includes travel from time to time to their sister site in the south Birmingham Area.
To be considered for the Legal Credit Controller role you must have:
- Experience of credit control In a legal setting essential
- High standard of literacy and numeracy, both written and verbal
- Self-motivated and can manage your own time efficiently.
- Attention to detail and work well under pressure.
An overview of the Legal Credit Controller role Includes:
- Liaising with clients by telephone, email and letter, to ensure the prompt recovery of outstanding debt.
- Resolving client queries
- Review customer debts and create payment plans.
- Completing debt write-offs (when necessary), obtaining management authorisation, and updating documentation
- Timely production and dispatch of departmental and client reports as required.
- Escalating issues to Credit Control Manager and agreeing next steps
- Providing assistance and support for ad-hoc tasks as and when required
